3 Years Later - Same Trail, Different Kids

Three years later, we returned to one of our favorite family-friendly hiking trails near Denver — Castle Trail and Parmalee Trail at Mount Falcon Park. This trail is full of beautiful views, sunshine, pines, and wide, flat paths that are perfect for toddlers and young kids. It’s also home to the historic Walker Mansion ruins, which always make for a fun little stop along the way.

As parents, we’ve loved watching how our kids have grown on this trail — from babies in backpacks to (almost) hikers. Coming back three years later was a mix of nostalgia, memories, and new perspectives, and reminded us why this spot remains one of our go-to family trails.
