On Wednesday 1 June 2022, the fourth new Class 1 NSRI Offshore Rescue Craft (ORC) was launched in the Port of Cape Town.
Mark Hughes, NSRI Executive Director of Capital Projects and a team from her new home, Rescue 3 in the V&A Waterfront, attended the launch, along with the team from Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing and the Yacht Haulers team who manage the transport and cranes at all out launches.
Now for a few weeks of sea trials and commissioning, before she will be home at her new base at Rescue 3.
