As I was heading out today from the complex where I live, I noticed a duck leading a clutch of ducklings across Crow Canyon Road, which is a very busy thoroughfare. Nervously I watched them cross, and was relieved when they made it. But that wasn't the end of it! When I returned an hour or so later, the story took an unexpected and dramatic turn. Check it out!
I was listening to the Grateful Dead Channel on SiriusXM in my car when I took the video. The music seemed to suit the initial video so well that I left it in, and used music from the same concert --December 26 1979 at Oakland Auditorium, available commercially as "Dick's Picks Volume 5" if you're interested, or you can stream it from Archive.org. The first song is part of "The Other One", then a couple of minutes of "Brokedown Palace" at the end. I put the whole thing together in about an hour, so I didn't spend a lot of time editing, but I think the music serendipitously fits the video pretty well.
