My Spinal CSF Leak- BIGGEST NEWS YET!! // Choosing between CT MYELOGRAM vs. Non-Targeted BLOOD PATCH

This girl's medical diagnosis story just got a whole lot better: we've scheduled an epidural blood patch procedure as my first spinal CSF leak treatment! I have the choice between getting a CT myelogram and getting a blood patch, and this video explains the rationale for each of those routes.

A CT myelogram procedure is still on the table if this blood patch does not work, because of perineural cysts in my cervical spine that have a high chance of being CSF venous fistulas. I'm going less risky first with the blood patch. My epidural blood patch will technically be a blind blood patch, but it won't be completely blind because there ARE signs of a CSF leak on my spinal MRI. We have areas of interest, we just can't see a hole. We'll see how this goes, then re-evaluate the need for a CT myelogram.
