Finally Checked Out A Shelby GT500 In Performance Blue!

In this video i checked out a Shelby GT500 in performance blue at a local dealership in Southern California. Check it out!

I hadn't had a chance to check out the Shelby GT500 until now and thats because i wasnt able to go to the LA Auto show this year. Additionally, the Shelby GT500 was in somewhat of a production slump, producing very few units up until recently. The local dealers in my area basically had no GT500 on the lot.

For those that arent aware, the Shelby GT500 is back for the first time since 2014 where it had a live rear axle and a 6 speed manual shifter. The GT500 now is only equipped with a DCT, no manual option for now, and has a 5.2L predator V8 engine with a huge supercharger. The Shelby GT500 makes 760 horsepower and 625 foot pounds of torque and achieves a very low 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds.

The Shelby GT500 does look very menacing in person, however, not that far of a departure from the GT350, from the front end at least. The interior is mostly the same sans some differences. Overall the GT500 looks awesome and the performance blue color looks much better in person and, in my opinion, is the blue color to have. The only drawback of the shelby gt500 is the price. Right now all the dealers are charging big mark up and even without a markup, getting the GT500 close to 6 digit's is pretty easy considering the 18.5k track package.
