A trip on a cold dark winter night to a very obscure part of Japan: Cape Nosappu (Nosappu-misaki), which is the easternmost piece of land on the huge and wild northern island of Hokkaido.

WHAT ELSE IS IN THIS VIDEO
After making it to the Cape (on public transport, thank you very much!) I took some photos of the dark starry skies, then visited Kushiro Shitsugen (Marshland) National Park for a spectacular sunset.

CABIN FEVER :0
And then there is the cabin fever section... stranded alone in a freezing cold train station building waiting hours for a train back to civilization.

DIABETES
My insulin was of course kept cold automatically by the frigid November air. My One Drop blood sugar meter was kept cold too... cold enough to be unusable until I finally made it back to my hotel.

Enjoy this quick video adventure which again shows that diabetics can go anywhere and do anything. Including a place that even most Japanese people have never heard of!
