TSK 20 in 7m57s - Knights and Merchants (KaM) Remake (r6720)

As far as I am aware, this is the FASTEST time that anyone has completed this mission (in any version of this game) WITHOUT reducing the IGT speed during gameplay. (Which could be considered KaM Remake's version of TAS ("tool assisted speedrun") versus IGT (in game time).) So some might actually consider THIS win the world record time for this map (and not my "4.5 minute win").

Clearly one of the key parts was to "filter out" the two groups of sword fighters attacking my home base from the northeast in the initial battle. Yeah, it's possible to make contact with a knight and a sword fighter in KaM Remake without them fighting to the death -- provided you make the contact on an un-level terrain. (I don't know if this tactic works in any other map in Knights and Merchants, but it DOES work on the TSK 20 map, obviously!)

Therefore, for all those who didn't pay attention to the details (small text) in my "4.5 minute" video (    • TSK 20 in 4.5 minutes (TAS) - Knights and ...   ) -- and in the comment section -- (which also holds true for my "under 6 minute video" (    • TSK 20 in Under 6 Minutes (TAS) - Knights ...   ) ), I DID slow down the game time clock as I was playing to enable me to keep up with many (more) things at once than what I had to keep track of in this sub-8 minute win. This win was completed at "normal game clock speed" with only save reload assistance (and a heck of a lot of planning and previous (longer) TSK 20 quick wins!).

In fact, I borrow most of what I did here for my "under 6 minute win", but of course that win is faster because I was able to keep track of more things at once with that "assistance". You can probably clearly see the difference, as there is "lag" in the troops movement in THIS video, but almost ALL of the troops move ALL the time in my "4.5 minute" win.

As a little history, this win was completed on February 25, 2015, whereas my "under 6 minute" (5m58s) win was completed on May 2, 2015, and of course my "4.5 minute" (4m28s) win was completed on July 9, 2016 -- all in KaM Remake version r6720.
