Christmas charter’s begin!! 44871 + 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley head to York! 15/10/25

Hello and welcome to another video featuring the first two charter service’s of the Christmas month’s featuring 44871 & 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley……..
We start off by seeing LNER A4 Pacific 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley passing through it’s home birthplace Doncaster on Saphos train’s The Christmas White Rose from Potter’s Bar to York via Peterborough on the down fast line
An hour later at Doncaster we see LMS Black 5 44871 on The Christmas White Rose from London King’s Cross to York with 47812 on the rear of the train
We then catch up with 44871 at York where we see 44871 on platform 5 about to depart for York Thrall Europa to get water and coal and to be turned around for the return trip to London King’s Cross
Later on in the day we see 57311 dragging 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley passed Askham Bar to Gascoigne wood to be turned around to face the right way for the return trip to Potter’s Bar via Peterborough where 60007 came off
Finally we see LMS Black 44871 heading back to London King’s Cross passing Askham bar in fine fettle with 47812 on the rear of the train
