David Himel began his career selling vintage clothing to the Japanese market in the 1990's and having dealt with a majority of vintage garment stockists, developed a keen eye and established knowledge of the industry. He coupled his experience with his love for leather jackets, an interest originating from his days as a punk-rocker, to create a blog called "The Art of Vintage Leather Jackets" in 2007. After being contacted by numerous leather jacket-afficienados Himel realized that somebody would one day need to take control of producing awe-inspiring pieces and figured that he himself had the knowhow to fill the void. His creations are intricately crafted, worldwide-sourced pieces that are an evolutionary take on their classic predecessors.
