Fifty divers and medics from the UK , France and Norway headed to Loch Long with the NSRS, including an ROV and the crewed rescue submersible Nemo aboard the auxiliary ship SD Northern River.
They were tasked with a simulated rescue mission to ensure their equipment is safe to use and their skills are kept at the highest standard, ready for the (small) possibility of a submarine becoming stuck on the bottom.
