This is the point where I like to talk a little about why I like this game. As per usual if you have a story about why you like this game please leave it in the comments below. I would love to read about it. This is one of my all time favorite games for the GameCube. This game is so much fin and so inventive that I struggle to think of a game that better than it. This was one of those games that, in terms of substance, there is about 2 hours of total gameplay. BUT, there is a catch. There is a grid system of unlockable and achievements to get. For people who are familiar with the Super Smash Brother series you might notice and recognize this system. But (correct me if in wrong) did you know this game was the one to pilot this idea. This is really inventive because at the time things like trophies, and achievements did not exist. And this is a really good way to pad out your game and make it seem longer than it is. And saying "pad out" sounds like a disservice to this game. Its honestly so much fun to hunt these things and seek them out. The music and the unlockable really make this game for me. There are three core gameplay modes. traditional racing, top down racing, and the city levels. I personally love the city levels because, there is this sense of randomness. You spend the whole time collecting perks and leveling up your machine and you don't even know what the challenge at the end of the level will be. Honestly if you can get your hands on this game its a definite 100% must play.
