cuadros : movida

movida is the third instance of 'cuadros':

Inspired by Susan Sontag's 'On Photography', in which she defines the creation of spaces in photography through framing, both physical and metaphorical, 'cuadros' presents 4 scenes in which frames appear, transform, evolve and disappear. Although their existence is ephemeral, these frames invite the audience on a journey into the abstract fusion of colors, shapes and ideas: temporary realities that merge into one another.

The soundscape guides the viewer through a melodic, non-linear timeline that continues to build upon itself. It has no beginning and no end. Instead, it is an endless sequence that has existed long before the viewer contemplates it, and will continue to exist after they have left.

The constantly evolving scene alludes to the impossibility of stillness: the constant movement of sound, image and life. The images are constantly influenced by themselves and are transformed into new dimensions. ‘cuadros' takes advantage of digital technologies to create a space where the real and the constructed intersect. It proposes a space of constant transformation in which new realities are continuously constructed. Drawing from Dubois' 'The Photographic Act', the project aims to dissect time and memory, as an image would, exploring how the moving images interact with themselves over time. The piece becomes a tool for memory, merging the past and the present, shaping what's to come.
