At the end of 2025, I’m looking back at the call I got most wrong this year 🤦♂️ — declaring Mike Johnson a “deeply underrated” Speaker of the House.
Early on, the evidence seemed strong: Johnson won reelection with a razor-thin majority, kept the government open, and pushed through a massive domestic spending bill 🏛️. But the second half of the year told a very different story — a prolonged government shutdown, repeated discharge petitions that bypassed leadership, internal GOP revolts, and growing frustration over his deference to Donald Trump 📉.
The lesson? Politics is a long game. I called the winner way too early 🕰️. In this video, I explain where my logic went wrong — and why owning mistakes matters, especially heading into 2026 🇺🇸.
