Right, so here's an annoying one! To make the Hard Mode Anna show up here you can't let Darios get below 80% HP... in practice that means all it takes is an enemy officer nicking him a few times to make you restart. This was my 4th attempt at the challenge.
So I have half my team camp out near Darios, and I directly control Rowan and Sakura since they can take out monsters and fliers quickly. The rest of the team goes out to secure bases, and I briefly take control of the frontline if I see that it's clear near Darios. Actually, the AI-controlled allies do a pretty good job if you use good weapons triangle matchups. It gives off a pretty good Fire Emblem feeling that way.
I'm only about halfway through making the attack-based crests for the characters I use. However, archers like Sakura can spam Dual Special really hard even with minimal investment, which helped me deal with the rushdowns that are pretty prone to happening in this mission.
