The Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as the Djeser-Djeseru ("Holy of Holies"), is a magnificent mortuary temple located on the west bank of the Nile River in Luxor, Egypt. It was built during the reign of the powerful female pharaoh Hatshepsut, who ruled from 1479 to 1458 BC.

Hatshepsut, one of the most successful and celebrated pharaohs in ancient Egyptian history, commissioned the construction of this temple as a monument to her reign and a place for her cult to be practiced after her death.
