Torch Festival 《火把节》

The Torch Festival celebrated by the Yi ethnic group in Southwest China is hailed as the Oriental Carnival. Originating from the worship of fire in ancient times, it’s one of the oldest and most important traditional festivals in Chinese culture.

The orchestral version, a brand-new rendition of the tunes of the ethnic groups in Southwest China’s Yunnan province, vividly presents the jubilance of the carnival atmosphere and the positive spirit of Chinese people. #traditionalChinesemusic #folkmusic
