I have a few tricks up my sleeve on this one! Learn how to make 84 HSTs at a time from any 2 fat quarters. The individual units produced will end up trimming to 2.5 inches or 2 inches finished inside a quilt, so one of the most useful sizes to boot. Make up a beautiful HST feature like I demonstrate or use them for Irish chain variations, log cabin variations, jelly roll race variations - the possibilities are endless!
If the stitching layout going back and forth down the fabric was too confusing, check out the idea from the pinned comment. I've traced that out and it works well as an alternative stitching layout to achieve the same results. You'll still want to mark it as I show in the video, it's just a different way to do the continuous stitching.
