Plastering the stone walls of the house, with the classic 1:3 lime:sand plaster. This mix is very friendly to old houses, as it allows the moisture evaporate, unlike the plaster containing portland cement, which tend to trap moisture inside. Almost seven tons of sand were used to plaster the whole house. Mainly becouse the stone walls were very uneven.
Lime plaster was originally used on all stone or brick rural houses in my countryside. Later it was replaced with various cement alternatives.
