Yavin - Psalm 118 (Live) ft. Pascal van den Dool

Deze bijzondere uitvoering van Psalm 118 is gearrangeerd door ‪@pascaldool‬ die samen met Yavin op trombone deze opname tot leven heeft gebracht. Het samenspel tussen de warme tromboneklanken en de expressieve pianobegeleiding, gespeeld door Pascal, biedt een unieke interpretatie van deze psalm. De opname vond plaats in de kerk van het Leger des Heils in Dordrecht, wat een passende en inspirerende sfeer creëerde.

"In mijn muziek probeer ik altijd inspiratie uit het christelijke geloof te halen. De melodie van Psalm 118 is een prachtige, oude psalmmelodie die me altijd bij blijft uit kerkdiensten, waar het luid wordt meegezongen. Muzikaal heb ik de melodie geharmoniseerd en een intro en outro toegevoegd. Het is flexibel en kan in verschillende ritmes worden uitgevoerd, zoals de 11/8 maat waarin ik het normaal met mijn kwartet speel." — Pascal van den Dool

Psalm 118 gaat over dankbaarheid voor Gods trouw, het vertrouwen op Zijn hulp, en de vreugde over wat Hij doet, zelfs in moeilijke tijden. Met dit arrangement willen we deze boodschap op een muzikale manier overbrengen. Veel luisterplezier!

I called on the Lord in distress;
