What better way to end #TransHistoryWeek 2024 than with a quick history lesson 🤓

This was the story that inspired the creation of Trans+ History Week: The N@z1 raid on the world’s first trans clinic, and the book burning days later.

It was brought into debate with by a now infamous tweet.

It’s important to note that while the clinic and this collection of books had a significant influence on the evolution of LGBTQIA+ politics at that time, its founders had many views which were problematic. As a result the clinic has a complex history; and many of its core ideas are no longer widely acceptable.
