I recommend you replace this item every 25,000 miles on high-mileage cars. We had to replace it again 30,000 miles later. Ford Motor Corp offered a few replacement of this item. Google Customer Satisfaction Recall for this item.

Similar process for many other cars. How to remove install replace take off put on the Canister Emissions Vapor Purge Valve Hose Solenoid Assembly. Ford Focus ST and other Ford models. This can be the fix if your car engine stumbles or idles poorly right after filling up with gas fuel.
