Gartloch Hospital, Mental Asylum and Tuberculosis Sanatorium, was built near Gartcosh Village in 1896 and opened the following year.
It was used as emergency accommodation during World War Two with a nurses' home completed in 1900.
The tuberculosis sanatorium was opened in 1902.
From the video, you will see that work is ongoing to bring the buildings back to a useable state, with some of them already converted into private housing.
The impressive 'Category A-listed' building with a tower at each end was the main 'administrative building'.
It is in the Glasgow Council Area.
A 1993 TV series called 'Takin' Over The Asylum' starred David Tennant and Ken Scott.
