Most Affordable JDM car in India

The Lancer is the closest thing to a JDM car on a budget. Launched in 1998, it was a fresh breath of air for people of India because all we had seen till this time were Ambassadors, Administration and Marutis. The lancer had a sporty design with a lot of features for the time. One thing which it didn't had was the power. It was less powerful than it's competitor Honda City. The petrol variants pumped just 85 Horsepower and diesel variant just 65 Horsepower.

It was on sale for almost 10 years and people wanted something new. So Mitsubishi launched the 8th gen of the lancer with the name Lancer Cedia. Along with that the Lancer was also on sale with the Cedia. But then the things Happened and Mitsubishi was going through charges, they went bankrupt and then Nissan brought the Mitsubishi and discontinued every car which was not making them profits or had high R&D cost. So Lancer was discontinued. The last evo sold was the Evo X (Evo 10) which was officially sold in india. These cars are highly desired by enthusiasts in the country as they are cheap to buy and if you got spare cash the tuning potential is insane.
