This upgrade cost me roughly $1200 in parts and labor.
The parts upgraded are (per crossover) two 0.27mh Mundorf inductors, one each with 0.27mh and 2.2mh values. Jupiter 0.1uf capacitor and Path Audio Resistor with a 1.2 ohm 400v value.
The total in parts was roughly $410 plus I originally purchased gr-research upgrade for $392. So the total just in crossover parts was $802.
Sounds crazy for a pair of speakers that retail for $998 per pair.
Is the upgrade worth it? To me it is. I'd be willing to go toe to toe with Maggie's next to bigger brothers.
