I recreated a scene from Princess Mononoke in gouache as a tribute to one of my favorite Studio Ghibli films. This movie has inspired me deeply for years, and painting it by hand felt like the most honest way to honor its spirit. Gouache can be tricky, but the process was incredibly rewarding. With so much AI-generated art floating around, I think it’s more important than ever to celebrate the human touch—especially when paying homage to something as soulful as Ghibli.
