Morrowdim - "Wandering Songs" [folk / synth] [rough demo]

So! This is a test arrangement of the planned album. Nothing is permanent yet. Artwork is still in the works, I am just using this in the interim. Basically, I just wanted to get a feel for track order and how it would all sound put together. Anyway...

The themes here vary. Tracks 1, 2 and 6 are based on my own fantasy storytelling. Of Wandering 1 and 2 are about, well, wandering (both physically and spiritually), with an emphasis on Odin and norse mythology. Trouble and Leithien are about longing and love respectively. Taur Aerlinn an Gwanath is about despair and self-destruction, but also hope and redemption. And I simply love "I Will Not Sing" by Goblin Hovel and felt it fit well. I am deeply inspired by Tolkien and norse mythology and those were driving inspirations for this project.

Musical influences include... Howard Shore's soundtrack for Lord of the Rings, Falkenbach, Summoning, Blind Guardian, Wolcensmen/Winterfylleth(acoustic), Caladan Brood, later Bathory, Goblin Hovel, Elvenking, the genre of dungeon synth including RaevJager, Acheulean Forests, Erang, Morgan the Bard, Sequestered Keep.

Morrowdim is the Shire name for the twilight before dawn.
