ENG: Every Mexican 90s rocker has heard this song at least 10 times. Around the time grunge and alternative rock were making the rounds, Caifanes released "El nervio del volcán", and right away we all knew the lyrics to this and, of course "Afuera", which was such a hit that musicians here on Youtube get requests to play that song -- no matter where they're from (I remember my surprise when English young drummer ‪@MiniFairhurstDrums‬ played it in her channel).

"Aquí no es así" has a special meaning, not only for Mexicans, but specifically people who live around our famous volcanos, Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl (I dare you to say those names three times fast).

We the children of volcanoes.

ESP: Cualquier rockero mexicano de los 90s ha escuchado esta canción, 10 veces por lo menos. En la época del grunge y rock alternativo, Caifanes lanzó su "Nervio del volcán", e inmediatamente nos aprendimos la letra, de esta canción y, claro, de "Afuera", que fue tal éxito, que todavía se la piden a varios músicos de Youtube -- sin importar de dónde sean (me sorprendí cuando le pidieron a la joven baterista inglesa, Mini Fairhurst, que la tocara en su canal).

"Aquí no es así" tiene un significado especial, no solo para los mexicanos, sino específicamente para los que vivimos en los alrededores de nuestros célebres volcanes, el Popocatépetl e Iztaccíhuatl (te reto a que lo digas tres veces rápido).

Somos gente de volcán.
