Two months ago, the EatonFire decimated part of Altadena, California, leaving behind a trail of destruction. In this video, we take you on a driving tour through the once-beautiful neighborhoods now marked by charred homes, scorched trees, and the aftermath of this devastating wildfire. The fire, which ignited unexpectedly, spread quickly due to flying embers and fierce winds, devastating homes and infrastructure miles beyond the fire line. The smoke could be seen for miles, and local firefighters fought tirelessly to protect the community. As we drive through the affected areas, witness firsthand the magnitude of the devastation that still looms over the once-thriving community.
In the video, we explore the streets that were severely impacted, showing the wreckage of homes and the efforts, or lack of, to rebuild in the wake of the fire. The road to recovery is just beginning for Altadena residents, but their spirit remains unbroken.
