Meet Jack Ensch, a former Naval Training Center (NTC) Commander and Prisoner of War. He retired from the Navy after 30 years in June 1995 with his last tour at NTC. He was in charge of the service schools at NTC and was there when the base closed. During the base closure, he worked hard to ensure that civilians who worked there were taken care of and able to find new jobs. During his time in Vietnam, his plane was shot down and he lost his left thumb. He was captured and held as a POW for 7 months until released. Learn more about Jack’s story here.
