Obdulio Morales & Simon Bolivar mills 2'3½" gauge were close and the lines connected. The mill at Simon Bolivar had been closed for some time and the steam engines stored in the shed, Obdulio Morales mill took cane from some of its former loading points using diesels. The charter was with the one remaining operable Obdulio Morales steam engine along the lines of Simon Bolivar towards the Jobo Rosado loading point, starting at the Obdulio Morales engine shed and stopping to view the Simon Bolivar engine shed.
Obviously the charter was not very authentic as we were taking loaded cane cars away from the mill rather than towards it but was still enjoyable.
