mysterio from marvel’s spiderman series is a master illusionist who never gets the credit he deserves. seeking fame, he turns to a life of criminal conquests, and uses his hollywood training as a special-effects artist to craft mind-bending visions. his goal: take down his number one enemy, peter parker, aka spider-man. mysterio is skilled prestidigitator, hypnotist, stuntman, disguise artist, chemist, special effects designer and roboticist. in the mcu adaptation of his story, his inventions are treated like garbage and his firing motivated his revenge campaign on peter parker to get back at tony stark. honestly though, me personally (yes I am actually typing this out lol) I prefer the backstory where he has no real motivation to fight peter parker other than attention. mysterio is held up as one of the greatest marvel villians of all time. despite having no real super powers, his sheer brilliance propels him into the conversation.

michael ”goob" yagoobian, also known as the bowler hat guy, is the antagonist of disney’s 2007 animated feature film meet the robinsons. he is an adult version of lewis robinson’s old roommate who pettily seeks revenge against lewis for supposedly being the root of his problems. he teamed up with dor-15 to achieve this goal. he is an enigmatic guy from the future who, assisted by the hat-like robot, tries to mess with present day young inventor, lewis robinson's debut invention to prevent his future from happening. this leads to his arch-nemesis, wilbur robinson to go after him. as it turns out, the bowler hat guy has a grudge with lewis due to inadvertently sabotaging him at a baseball game on the day of the science fair.
