Matheran is an automobile-free hill station and a municipal council in the Karjat taluka of the Raigad district located in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Matheran is one of the smallest hill stations in India.It is located in the Western Ghats, at an elevation of around 800 m (2,625 feet) above sea level. It is about 80 km from Mumbai, and 120 km from Pune. This proximity to these urban areas makes it a weekend getaway for many.

How to reach:
1) Catch any train which stop at Neral Junction Railway Station.
2) From Neral Junction you can either go by toy train or by sharing taxi till Dasturi Naka Parking Point.
3) From Dasturi you may get E-rickshaw & Horse Ride or you can get into toy train from Aman lodge railway station for Matheran.

Entry Fees: Adult - 50 & Kid - 25
Toy Train Charges: From Neral - INR 95 & From Aman Lodge - INR 55
Taxi Charges: From Neral to Dasturi Naka Parking - INR 100 (Adult) & INR 50 (Child)
