How 10,000 Steps a Day Changed My Life | Winter Solstice Reflections

Today I finished a video that feels very close to my heart.❤️
For the past year I have been committing to a minimum of 10,000 steps every single day. Not as a fitness trend, not as punishment, but as a promise to myself. This video shares what that actually looks like in real life. The same routes. The same paths. The familiar faces. Feeding pigeons, squirrels, seagulls, crows. Slowing down. Noticing. Letting nature become part of the rhythm rather than something separate from it.🌱🕊🤍🕊🌱
Those daily walks have become a kind of moving meditation. They have grounded me on hard days, lifted me on quiet days, and reminded me that consistency does not have to be loud to be powerful. Showing up gently still counts.🌲🙏🏼🌲
The other part of this video is the winter solstice. The darkest day of the year. I spent it at Sandbanks, watching the sun sink low, honouring the ending of a cycle. Letting go of what no longer needs to be carried. Allowing things to fall away without forcing answers.🌅
Then on the 22nd, as the light slowly begins its return, I reflected on what I want to grow next. The seeds I want to plant. The intentions I want to nurture patiently rather than rush. Winter is not empty. It is quiet preparation.

This video is about movement, nature, ritual, and trust. Trusting the process. Trusting small daily actions. Trusting that even when we are walking familiar ground, we are still moving forward.💫🚶➡️🚶➡️🚶➡️💫

Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful winter solstice.❄️💎❄️
