Fans of Van Halen worldwide were devastated by the news. A few weeks ago, legendary drummer Alex Van Halen made the announcement that he was ending his musical career. Alongside the unexpected announcement that he would be auctioning off all of his drumming gear and memorabilia, he made this decision. There was much conjecture on the causes of his retirement. But there was some good news in a recent social media post from Alex himself. He thanked the supporters who took part in the auction and mentioned that a therapeutic horsemanship charity will receive a percentage of the revenues.
