How To KILL Yellow Nutsedge (With UPDATES and RESULTS) | Sedgehammer Herbicide

Yellow nutsedge, like many weeds in our lawns, is easily recognizable even if we don't all know its name. In this video we discuss how to kill yellow nutsedge in your lawn. A big part of weed control is understanding why the weeds are showing up in our lawns to begin with. Yellow nutsedge thrives in wet, moist environments. If your area has recently received a lot of rain, or your irrigation system has been running a lot, it's not uncommon to see a nutsedge breakout. You don't want to pull yellow nutsedge plants once they've matured past a few days because then you run the risk of not pulling out the entire root and creating more weeds. Once you have mature nutsedge in your lawn you will have to use a chemical solution. The product that I like to use to kill yellow nutsedge in my lawn is called Sedgehammer. In this video I'll show you how to mix and apply Sedgehammer, and I'll also show the 3 and 9 day updates after the application.
