Unexpected Night at The Old Mill: Ebike Ride, Campfire Scripture & a Giant Dog Encounter

Join me on a full overnight adventure as I ride my Puckipuppy Labrador Pro ebike down the beautiful Meadowlark Trail from McPherson, Kansas to Lindsborg. This ride had everything — smooth gravel, peaceful scenery, and a few surprises along the way.
I set up camp at The Old Mill Campground, using my Nightcat Layflat Hammock as my shelter for the night. After exploring the area, I stumbled across some eye‑catching graffiti under the bridge, checked out the old mill dam, and even found a unique structure tucked away near the water.
Dinner was simple trail comfort food — sliders and Beer Can Chicken Pringles — before settling in by the campfire. A massive dog wandering through camp gave me a good scare, but the night ended on a meaningful note with some scripture that really spoke to me in the quiet glow of the fire.
Wrapped up the night with one of the best hammock sleeps I’ve had yet.
