On the occasion of his 2012 US Tour, Neapolitan singer Massimo Ranieri shares his New York-related memories with Letizia Airos and tells stories about his beginnings. "I Sing Because I Can't Swim" is Ranieri's latest show, a Broadway style musical the title of which is inspired by his childhood's misadventures: "In Santa Lucia, the borough of Naples where I was born, which is by the sea, kids knew I couldn't swim and they would threaten to throw me into the water if I refused to sing, and that's how I started," Ranieri tells i-Italy. In the interview, Ranieri also elaborates on his influences and his taste in contemporary music and on his passion for New York City.
