Join me as I explore Anacapa Island, part of Channel Islands National Park off the coast of California! Getting here is an adventure in itself—our boat ride is escorted by pods of common dolphins and bottlenose dolphins, before a tricky landing where passengers climb a ladder and 157 steps straight up the cliffs.
On top of the island, I visit the historic Anacapa Lighthouse, explore the remains of the “village” and old water system, and hike out to breathtaking viewpoints like Cathedral Cove and Inspiration Point. Along the way I set up my campsite, share the story of this rugged island, and give you a first-hand look at what it’s like to travel to this rarely visited corner of California’s coast.
