Are the finches brave or just really thirsty? It's a bit windy at times but worth persevering as a series of argumentative Little Friarbirds and Noisy Friarbirds all decide it's bath time. At 5:20 there's a particularly nasty attack. The finches start showing up at 6:19. At 6:48 a Little tried to attack a finch but it evaded easily.
When things quieten down the finches have to lean down quite a long way to get a drink as it's low tide after all of the bathing visitors.
It was hard to find spots where I could zoom in on this video as there was action everywhere most of the time.
In case you didn't know, juvenile Little friars have yellow necks/upper chests and the little guys are Double-barred finches. Noisy Friarbirds are the ones with the black, bald heads.
