On the way to Cody, Wyoming, I stopped by a small town called Meeteetse. I was fascinated by the charm of several local museums and galleries, including Vic Payne Studio & Gallery, Charles Belden Western Photography, and Meeteetse Museum. Together, the two museums are referred to as Meeteetse Museums, and made for an unexpected surprise. This is combined with awesome exterior shots from Vic Payne Studio & Gallery. My apologies to Vic Payne Studio & Gallery for having to take several pics through the glass windows.
Vic Payne is an acclaimed Western sculptor known for his expressive bronze works depicting cowboys, Native American life, wildlife, and frontier history. Raised on a New Mexico ranch and trained from an early age in his father Ken Payne's studio, he developed a deep connection to Western heritage and traditional bronze craftsmanship.
Charles J. Belden is a Western photographer and rancher known for his iconic images of Wyoming, the Pitchfork Ranch, and working cowboy life in the early 20th century.
