A survey of teachers found that around one in four children starting reception in 2025 were not toilet-trained, with 26% of reception pupils experiencing frequent toilet mishaps. This has sparked great concern around children’s life skills and development, which got the women questioning whether schools should turn away reception kids if they aren’t properly potty trained.
