In April of 2021, I received word that OHCR B39-8 was leading WODA south out of Worcester. The first night it lead I was not able to go out for it. Hoping it would stay on for another night I went out for it. Luck would have it that it would lead again with G&W painted 3902 leading and P&W painted 2008 trailing third making for quite the lashup. The OHCR 8530 was originally built as LMX leasing 8530 and was longterm leased by the BN in the 90s. After being sold off, the unit found its home on the Connecticut Southern where it spent many years. It was then transferred to the Ohio Central before returning to the CSOR in 2018. The 8530 had been in Worcester getting PTC and mechanical work done when they put it on WODA to test it out before sending it back to CSOR. I was fortunate enough to chase the 8530 from Valley Falls to TF Green getting plenty of horn action from its monster Leslie RS5T horn. Never thought I would see an LMX painted B39-8 lead on P&W let alone down the street from me in Valley Falls. The very next night it was taken off and went back to CSOR therefore ending its very brief tenure on WODA.
