How are these Sims 4 Story Progression Settings still broken?

It's been well over a year since I last checked if the pre-Lovestruck patch, romantic and friendship neighborhood story settings were working and it turns out, they're sort of half working and slightly better than last time! But still don't feel like they're doing as much as they should... For the best results, you need to use them in 'my household' slots
