Elena and Lydia are best friends who get into an accident on their way home. Meanwhile Lydia, the human girl, gets killed, Elena who is a vampire survives. Dean, Lydia's boyfriend is devastated by such a loss and Elena starts to be haunted by her own tricky mind. Seeing two best friends Dean and Isaac in dispute, over Dean's grief, Elena's inner concious convinces her kill herself, burn herself alive. Isaac Lahey, however, who cares deeply about a girl tries his best to prevent her from doing so and fails. Elena dies by taking off her ring and throwing it into the lake and Dean comforts Isaac due to them having the same form of grief.
