I just invested in the new Zildjian L80 and silent stroke mesh heads from Remo. Here is a review.
price
look
feels close to real heads and cymbals
definitely quieter than normal kit
cymbals are still loud (up to 100db)
loses texture on the heads
heads can be too bouncy
not that quiet overall, and a lot of vibration
So far i am happy with them.
