I hosted an Accessible Empowerment Weekend in beautiful Park City, Utah — a space created for disabled travelers to experience adventure, connection, and freedom in the outdoors. 🌲
Together, we stayed at the National Abilities Center, where accessibility meets adventure. From archery with adaptive equipment and accessible biking, to hiking the scenic trails and playing pickleball, this weekend was about proving that adventure truly is for everyone.
We explored Park City, shared meals, and connected through powerful workshops designed to help us grow, bond, and support one another. 💪❤️
Whether you live with a disability, work in accessibility, or just believe that the outdoors should be inclusive for all — this video is for you.

A brown sign reads National Ability Center – Park City, UT. Viewers see the accessible on-site hotel rooms, including the bathrooms and bedrooms, highlighting how the accommodations meet a variety of accessibility needs.
Bikes are shown on the ground and inside a garage as participants prepare for a ride—putting on helmets and getting ready on a blacktop driveway. Catarina and her guide, both wearing helmets and sunglasses, stand beside a tandem bike. They ride along a paved trail surrounded by green hills.
The group then hikes through the lush Utah landscape around the NAC. Catarina swings on a tire swing while a friend pushes her—everyone smiles and enjoys the moment.
At the archery range, colorful targets are displayed as Catarina explains the adaptive features that make the activity accessible. Participants are taught how to use the equipment, including stations designed for people who are blind and those with limited dexterity or paralysis. Instructors demonstrate how each setup works.

Next, the group gathers in a large indoor arena with horses inside a fenced area. Participants enter, pet, and walk the horses with guidance from instructors.
Inside NAC, workshops are shown with instructors leading discussions. An ASL interpreter signs at the front of the classroom while participants sit at desks, learning and connecting with each other.
The group later visits downtown Park City, dining at Café Terigo. Plates of salad, salmon, pasta, and artichokes fill the table. They stroll through the town, window shopping and laughing together. Catarina looks at cowboy boots with friends outside a local shop.
