The Student Voice Survey has been run at University of Galway for over 10 years. The 2025 survey was responded to by 3,194 students at the university. The purpose of the survey is to assess attitudes, views and experiences using an ecological model that incorporates sections on demographics, academic perceptions, well-being and mental health, along with self-reported use of alcohol and drugs. This talk will provide an overview of the survey method, focusing on responses to the AUDIT-C measure included in the survey, and the links observed between alcohol use, academic engagement, and personal well-being.
