Bodycam Footage Shows Ukrainian Soldiers Storm Trench | GMod VR

On September 25th, 2023, two Ukrainian Soldiers from the 3rd Assault Brigade was split off from their unit by Russian forces when they were advancing towards Bakhmut.

When they were cut off from their unit, they hid in vegetation, making it harder for the Russians to find them. Their hiding resulted in the Russians being clueless on any enemy contact behind their front.

On September 26th, the two Ukrainian soldiers left the tree line and walked towards their unit again until they saw a unit of Russians fortified in a trench line right across from the 3rd Assault Brigade. The two Ukrainian soldiers decided that it would be best to catch those Russians off guard and attack them from their rear. The soldiers walked close to the trench line by using trees as cover.

When they got to the trench line, the Ukrainian soldiers rushed into the trenches to establish more solid cover. This resulted in confusion with the Russians. The Russians initially thought these Ukrainian soldiers were their own, but after the Ukrainians wounded the first Russian, a firefight ensued. The Ukrainians used good planning, strategy, and tactics to clear an entire trench line of Russians allowing for the 3rd Assault Brigade to take over that trench line and allowing these soldiers to reconnect with their unit.
