For so long now, I have absolutely enjoyed eating rice. I have cooked countless cups and transformed that little white grain into gold that's steeped in flavour and sometimes tradition. If there was one meal I could say I have loved the most throughout my life, it would have to have been something with rice.
During my entire childhood growing up in PNG, I ate and at times helped cook rice. These three FREE recipes I am sharing today are so wonderful and full of flavour. Especially the yellow rice recipe from Indonesia. Being taught that many years ago and to this day it stands as my favourite when transforming white rice into yellow fragrant goodness.
The other two recipes are just as great, especially coming into the festive season, as we tip into the many BBQs, office parties, beach meet-ups, Christmas gatherings, and those impromptu potluck dinners. These dishes are ones I would choose from when invited to any friend's place for a gathering. Besides the rice cook-ups, might have noticed how different I look in each recipe… How BIG and SMALL I am though throughout the past few years in particular… BIG - I mean the extra 10kg heavier big. YES, 10kg…. The last video I did of the three was that yummy artichoke rice salad, in which I was weighing in a good 78.9kg… Fast forward to now, I am a healthy 68kg.
This is the reason - I have been working on methods. And one particular method is reducing all the inflammation. That is why I was holding onto all that excess fluid and weight. The other method was increasing my absorption rates. Basically improving my mitochondria AKA the batteries of the cells… From there, I am now understanding why my body does what it does and how I can support it more.
