This caprice demands a lot from the player. Opening with brisk but lyrical fingered octaves, Paganini uses a lot of dramatic dynamic changes, surely influenced by Beethoven.
Then, rapid arpeggio and broken chord figures up into stratospheric positions and rapid staccato, also in demisemiquaver passages which you will notice I use ricoche bowings for. Rapid double stops including big string crossings also make this an extremely virtuosic caprice!
